Time for Empanadas!!!

Last week I had the joy of spending the day with 2 of my favorite people here, Isabel and her daughter, Dania.  They are like family to us and have been since we moved here.  They invited me over to chat and to cook together so we ended up making empanadas.  They were DELICIOUS and the fellowship was great as well!!!  To see God's hand at work in this family is amazing and such a joy to watch!!  Love them all!!!

English Class Graduation

Last night was a wonderful celebration as we watched 8 students that Dale has been teaching over this last year graduate from their Beginners English Class!  Commitment and following something through to completion is very uncommon in this culture so to be able to celebrate with these 8 girls who were fully committed was such a blessing!!

Baptisms and Picnic Celebration

Last Sunday we had a wonderful time celebrating as 6 people stepped forward in obedience and were baptized!  God is changing lives here in Jaco, one by one, and we are so blessed to be a part of the work He is doing!!  Praise Him!!!!

Cultural Day at Las Nubes School

Thomas and Jacob had a blast preparing for and participating in Cultural Day at their school!  Jacob's class presented the country of Bermuda and Thomas's class had Bangladesh.  Each class researched and learned all about the country/culture/people, dressed in typical clothing, performed a typical dance, and sold typical food.  It was a blast and the kids had a great time!!
