The Roof Is On and Baby Dedication
The roof is now complete on Michelle and Leo's house. Also, the pipes are all in for the plumbing and the hole has been dug for the septic tank. Tomorrow the guys have to go to another town to find a septic tank and then that will be in place. So exciting! Even more exciting than this is that Michelle and Leo came to church this morning and Daniel did a baby dedication for their little one, Hazel Camila. It was a really sweet time and we are really praying for them as they are really spiritually sensitive right now. Please join us in praying for them!!!

The building has begun!
The building on Leo and Michelle's house has begun! We have raised almost $3,000 thanks to so many generous supporters who desire to invest in this family! Thank you so much!!! It has been such a blessing to see other members of the community coming to help build the home for their neighbor! In addition, Leo and Michelle want to come to church this weekend and have asked Daniel to do a dedication for their new baby! We are so blessed by this and are excited as to what the Lord is going to continue to do as we help to meet the physical needs of this family. At times, to reach a family spiritually you have to meet their physical needs first by serving and loving them with the love of Christ. We are praying fervently for this family. Please pray along with us! Here are a few pictures of the first few days of work.
Patio where house will be built. The guys have taken the little roof off of the patio at this point.
Daniel's childhood friend, Tim, who came down to serve with him for a few days--he's got SKILLS in building homes!

Pray for Karina
Hi Everyone! Our sweet friend, Karina, has been very sick for months. She went to the public clinic a while ago and they were not much help. Over these last 2 months every time I see her she has lost more weight and she is so weak she can barely move. She came over to our house complaining that her vision was going and she couldn't see. I finally took her to the Private Clinic to try and get some answers. They took her blood sugar and the machine would not even register because her sugar was so high. They immediately put her on insulin bags and it took 3 bags to get her sugar into the 300s. They sent her home with pills to take and she has returned a few times this past week for blood tests, more insulin, etc. They are trying to find a treatment for her. She is going in tomorrow for a full check up to see if her organs were damaged since her diabetes has gone on for so long without being treated. Please pray for her. Karina is the lady in INVU that we built the white fence for because she is wanting to start a little daycare for a few children in her home. Of course she has to be healthy before she can do this. She has 3 beautiful children, one of whom is in our Youth Group and one in Kids Club. Please pray that God would heal her body. Pray that we are able to help her as she transitions to this new diet and lifestyle. She is very overwhelmed at this point. Thanks so much for your prayers!!!

Leo, Michele, Tifani y Hazel Camila
We have been
ministering to this family from INVU for a few years now. They are currently living in a room
attached to Michele’s mother’s house and have dreams of having their own home. This summer we had hoped to begin
building them a small home (measuring 18ft x 21ft) in front of her mom’s house,
but they did not receive the permits until last week. We still desire to help them with this project and have
begun raising the funds to build.
We are estimating the total expense of this project to be between $4,000
and $5,000. If you feel led to
donate money towards the building of this new home, you can send tax deductible
donations to:
Shepherd’s Staff
PO Box 53640
Albuquerque,
NM 87153
Account #4205 (has
to be written in the memo line of the check)
Or you can give
online at: www.shepsstaff.org/barrett.aspx
Please let us know if
you have given toward this project so that we can request these funds for this
specific project. Our email
address is: pdbarrett@yahoo.com
If you desire to be a
part of the actual building of the home, please let us know as soon as possible
because we hope to begin before the end of August. We would love for you to be a part of this project with us!
Please join us in
praying for this family during this time.
Thanks to all of you and God bless!
In Him, Daniel and Sarah Barrett
